Volkeová, Veronika ; Sládek, Ivan (advisor) ; Němec, Luboš (referee)
IMPACT OF A LARGE CITY ON THE CLIMATIC CHARACTERISTICS OF SUNSHINE, THEIR SPATIAL DISTRIBUTION AND TIME CHANGES - CASE STUDY PRAGUE Abstract This thesis deals with essential climatic element which is sunshine duration (SD). The aim of this work is to detect spatial distribution and time changes of the lenght of SD in Prague and surroundings. In the thesis were used data from the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute, specifically monthly and annual sums of SD at Prague-Karlov station for the 96 year period, at the other stations for the 7 year period. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is focused on literature recherche, which is based on available knowledge about sunshine in Prague or in larger cities in general. The second part has a research character. At first there is a focus on the Prague-Karlov station and its long-term trends, and then on other station in Prague and out of the Prague. To determine spatial distribution were used statistical double-choice tests.
Factors affecting UV index in the Czech Republic
Tomanová, Helena ; Pokorná, Lucie (advisor) ; Čížková, Klára (referee)
Factors affecting UV index in the Czech Republic Abstract Recently, the shortwave radiation signified as UV radiation became a popular topic, connected mainly to the loss of ozone in the stratosphere. This radiation has both positive and negative effects on humans. Therefore, the UV index was introduced, which express the biological effect of UV radiation on human health. The thesis describes the geographical parameters and meteorological conditions affecting the values of UV index. The UV radiation its measurement methods, and its effects on human health and other living organisms is described in detail in the theoretical section. It also contains the definition of UV index and the factors affecting the UV index magnitude: latitude, the height of the sun above the horizon, altitude, cloud cover and the character of the active surface. Links between UV index and individual parameters are checked in the practical section using the UV index measurement from four stations in the Czech Republic during the period 2011 - 2017. The research shows, that the UV index is significantly lower for an overcast sky in comparison with clear sky. The present of snow cover increases the effects of UV radiation, particularly for the high elevations of the sun above the horizon. Key words: Czech Republic, global radiation,...
Long-Term Changes in Cloudiness and Sunshine Duration in Europe
Bílková, Jarmila ; Huth, Radan (advisor) ; Holtanová, Eva (referee)
LONG-TERM CHANGES IN CLOUDINESS AND SUNSHINE DURATION IN EUROPE Abstract The aim of this paper is to study long-term changes of two climatological parameters known as sunshine duration (SD) and cloudiness (CC) using several stations data located in Europe in the period 1965 - 2016. This paper is devided into two main parts. First part is paying attention to the literary research, which firstly introduce the chosen climatical variables (SD and CC) and then introduce the issue of the already known long term changes of this variables. Second part of this work is based on practical research. This paper uses a statistical linear regression to find out the seasonal and annual trends in sunshine duration and cloudiness. Data series were obtained from database ECA&D in total from 48 european climatic stations. Klíčová slova: cloud cover, sunshine duration, climate change, trends, Europe
Application versatile module LabJack\hindex{TM} in education of physics
PŘIBYL, Vojtěch
Theme of this thesis is using of universal module LabJack U3-HVTM as support for physics lessons. This thesis describes the universal module LabJack U3-HVTM and evaluation method of measured value on the computer screen using software eSimLab. To all physical tasks is described path of signal with measured string from developed sensor until evaluation of signal in the computer. In the thesis is specifically described a function of developed sensors of physical quantities, there are subscribed diagrams including PCB and parts list. The thesis is including designed physical tasks for monitoring of atmospheric pressure, temperature, wind direction, sunshine duration and the role of measurement of the signal on the optical transmitter using the developed sensors and universal module LabJack U3-HVTM.
